Indianapolis Photo Meetup

Visit Indy invited all photographers from the Indianapolis area and Chicago area to meet up and explore the city together. Many businesses had open houses to give photographers a special view of their area. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway even gave each of us a free ticket to attend the Indy Grand Prix. I made friends […]

Victory Field Tour

Being apart of the local Igers group gets you some good perks and access that many don’t have. A small group was selected to be able to tour where the Indianapolis Indians play, Victory Field.

Monumental Yoga

Every year people do yoga around the circle downtown Indy. I don’t do yoga, but I do love all the people and bright colors that make for some pretty good photos.

Laurel Hall

In Indianapolis there is an old mansion that’s now being used as an event space. Many weddings and engagement photos get taken here. In 2017, the Igers group had access to walk through the property and take photos. The place has plenty of nooks and crannies to explore.

Fletcher Place

Continuing my walking, I took a little stroll around Fletcher Place in 2016.

Mass Ave Walk

In 2016 I tried to travel to a new location to explore every few weeks. Mass Ave is one of those destinations that everybody knows of, but do they really take the time to look around at the surroundings? Whenever I take photos, I try to see things that many don’t. This is Ken. I […]

First shots with my 100mm

In 2016 I bought a 100mm 2.8 to get some macro shots. This lens is crazy with how close you can get to the subject. It takes some fantastic shots.

Indiana State Fair 2016

Love walking around the State Fair every year. There’s always opportunities to take some great photos. These are a selection of photos I took in 2016.

Carmel Construction

Just in the last couple years the Carmel Arts District has exploded with new buildings. Every time I walk the Monon, there seems to be a new building going up.

Rockers Reunion 2016

I’ve only recently started appreciating motorcycles. After having passed the ABATE class and got my first bike in 2012, I’ve learned to love Cafe Racers and Bobbers. Fountain Square hosts a motorcycle show every year where these types of bikes are featured. It’s a great place to see some unique bikes and get some great […]

Indianapolis Zoo

Igers Indy met at the zoo in the summer of 2016. We were able to walk around and explore as we wanted. Some sticking to groups, others breaking off on their own. If your city has and Igers group, I’d recommend attending an event. People of every skill levels show up. iPhone only, to people […]

Downtown Indy Walking

Some photos that I’ve taken while walking around in downtown Indianapolis. Shot in 2015 and 2016.

Thunder Island

Thunder Island is an abandoned water park in Westfield, IN. I believe the park was shut down in the 90’s. Everything has been removed that could be removed, but elements of the park still remain. The pools, the paths, and the water slide built into the ground. It’s a very eerie place. Know that at […]

Fountain Square

Taken November 2015, I spent an evening walking around in Fountain Square.

7 Eleven to Next Door

In April 2016 I went on a motorcycle ride to Broad Ripple. I took a wrong turn from where I was wanting to go, but ended up somewhere much better. I came across this old 7 Eleven, and I’m glad I saw it when I did. It has since been turned into a restaurant named […]
